Maggies Kitchen Store – the next McDonalds?

There is a small shop in the sea-side town of Queenscliff, Victoria that is buying thousands and thousands of 250ml & 375ml round jars: for their relishes, chutneys, pickles, sauces, mustards and jams.

In 1954 there was a hamburger shop in San Bernardino, California that was running a huge number of milk shake makers; to make milk shakes to go with their hamburgers and fries.

Also in 1954 a certain Ray Kroc, went to see this Californian hamburger store, which was being run by the McDonalds brothers. The rest is history; for McDonalds hamburgers at least.

Will Maggies Kitchen Store shop in Queenscliff become the McDonalds of the gourmet cooking franchises?

It could, because people love Maggies Kitchen products, probably as much as they love a Big Mac.
