Hotondo Homes expands network of builders
Australia’s leading building franchise, Hotondo Homes, has expanded its network to include franchisees in Dubbo, Phillip Island and Mildura.
Recently recruited builders are now focussing on establishing their businesses in their respective areas. Each builder brings with them extensive experience in the construction industry and vast knowledge of their building area.
Hotondo Homes managing director Michael Renwick said the company was constantly striving to recruit more quality builders throughout the country.
“We put a lot of resources into developing and improving our franchise and are always looking for professional builders to join our network. Our sights are now set on a group of regional centres and cities including Adelaide and Newcastle,’’ Mr Renwick said.
“There are still many regional and metropolitan areas where we see great potential. The challenge is to recruit the right builder for the job and to provide the support needed for that builder to hold the market share in their area.’’
New franchisees in Dubbo, Phillip Island and Mildura are family businesses looking to grow and compete against larger building companies that are moving into regional areas. They have joined Hotondo Homes to utilise the sales and marketing support, and the building supplier partnerships that are available to franchisees.
As well as focussing on recruiting new builders, Hotondo Homes is investing in training programs to ensure new and existing franchisees have the skills needed to effectively manage their business and staff.
“Any successful business needs to have quality trained employees in order to grow and we are determined to improve the skills of our builders as well as their staff,’’ Mr Renwick said.
