HOTONDO HOMES FIRST OVERSEAS CONFERENCE

Building franchise, Hotondo Homes, hosted their annual National Conference this year in Rotorua, New Zealand, from Sunday 18th September to Wednesday 21st September.

The conference had over 200 attendees, including franchisees throughout Australia, Hotondo Homes support office staff, national supplier partners, and special guests.

Awards including National Shopfront of the Year, National Display Home of the Year, and State Franchisees of the Year were all announced at the awards dinner held on Monday 19th September.

Jeff and Fiona Kittelty from Warragul, Victoria, took out the prestigious Hotondo Homes NATIONAL Franchisee of the Year Award for 2011, as well as the Victorian Franchisee of the Year Award.

"We have a new shopfront, great staff, and have three display homes opening next year, but it all comes down to the support that we have received... A huge thank you to Fiona and our four sons, as none of this would have happened without them," said Jeff Kittelty after accepting his National Franchisee of the Year award.

The National Shopfront of the Year award was won by the Allan family from Hotondo Homes Toowoomba, Queensland, who also won the Best Shopfront Customer Experience Award, and Local Area Marketing Event of the Year for their Shopfront Launch in May.

National Display Home of the year was awarded to Murray Reilly from Caloundra, Queensland, for his Byron 237 display home located at Birtinya Island. Mr. Reilly also won the Queensland Franchisee of the Year Award.

"To be able to win these awards, it´s not just about engagement but it´s about being a leader and a good example to their fellow franchisees now and into the future. The businesses that won the awards encapsulate what Hotondo Homes stands for, which is being a professional, quality builder," said Michael Renwick, Managing Director of Hotondo Homes.

"Every award winner and nominee should be very proud of themselves, as the standards are so high and franchisees keep raising the bar," continued Mr Renwick.

The conference ran over four days, including registration and a supplier evening at the Tamaki Maori Village, a fun farm day at the Agrodome, and two business days where guest speakers included Ngahi Bidois, Nick Farr-Jones, Tony Laker and HIA Senior Economist Harley Dale.

The 2011 conference concluded with the announcement of the 2012 conference, which will be held on the Gold Coast.
