Australia's largest photobooth rental group

The photobooth rental industry is now entering a strong growth stage in Australia. The Photobooth People operate the largest rental group in the country, and as of January 2011 we total 15 members Australia-wide. The extraordinary success of those entering the group in its early stages (14 members since June 2010) has seen our sales division working overtime to keep up with demand, and booths leaving our Brisbane base shortly after they arrive each month. Our network members have seen great success early on, with some members taking up to 10 confirmed bookings prior to taking delivery of their booths!

While the Australian dollar is enjoying record highs it has proven a fantastic time to enter this industry, with booths now selling for well under the $10,000 mark. Our December order landed for just over $9,300 AUD and we expect this to continue for some time. Rental prices are not decreasing however, and even with stronger competition, average rental rates per 4 hour event are still above $1000 – meaning 10 events could see your booth paid off. While the amount of photobooth rental companies in Australia is increasing (from 5 businesses Australia-wide in 2007 to more than 60 in 2010) photobooth rental is also increasing in popularity and has become the must-have for events we thought it would. We still go to many events where patrons tell us the photobooth was the star of the show, and they wish they’d had one at their wedding/21st/Christmas Party!

In 2007 The Photobooth People commenced business as only the fifth photobooth rental company in Australia. To help you appreciate what a husband and wife team can achieve, our first two years of operation saw us complete on average 2.5 events per weekend, leaving our weekdays free to focus on other areas of the business. Since then our rentals have increased, with record weeks seeing us complete up to 10 events in a 7 day period – just from our Brisbane office. The launch of our sales division in June 2010 has seen our team grow in size as our sales division now becomes a major focus – but for good reason. While we are not operating a franchise system, as the exclusive distributors of Digital Centre photobooths in Australia and New Zealand we take the support of our rental network members very seriously, and have been thrilled to receive feedback that our support has been the driving force behind their many successes. We genuinely are obsessed by photobooths – and developing The Photobooth People Rental Network and helping new business owners achieve their potential is certainly the driving force behind what we do.

The assistance we currently offer to members includes full photobooth support (hardware and software), authorised repairers and maintenance technicians, recommended suppliers for all of your equipment and consumables eg. custom trailers, trolleys, photo albums and associated stock items, and of course we stock a full complement of spare parts and consumables for our booths. This means that in the unlikely case your booth requires parts we can provide those generally on an over-night basis anywhere in Australia. We also assist with finance and insurance where required. In addition members receive quality leads for rentals in their area of operation direct from The Photobooth People, but also from other members of the network, who forward leads on when they are fully booked, or the inquiry is outside of where they operate.
